Commonly asked Questions and Answers Hypnotherapy
Question: What is
hypnotherapy?
Answer:
Hypnotherapy, as practiced by well trained hypnotherapists is a safe,
memorable, deep meditative state. It is not sleep but a curious, detached
parallel awareness. The same feeling you have in complete relaxation.
Similar to the feeling when falling off to sleep and first awakening. It is
also called the Theta state.
Question: Will I
lose control of my mind and actions in trance?
Answer:
Definitely not!. From the beginning of a session we make a contract and as
long as the words you hear are moral, safe and comfortable for you, you are
in full control. You will remember everything that is said. The senses are
aware of what is happening.. The subconscious mind is alert and understands
the hypnotherapist’s every word. In this state, patterns of behaviour are
changed only if you sincerely wish them to change.
There is a significant amount of scientific, and a large amount of anecdotal
evidence that correctly applied hypnotherapy restores health and balance to
the mind and body. However, hypnosis is a tool to be used with other forms
of conventional and/or natural medicine.
The human body consists of trillions of cells, interacting with each other.
All cells are formed from matter. Other matter in the form of clean water,
food, herbs, minerals and vitamins are needed to support and sustain our
body and mind.
Hypnosis helps the body access this matter to maximum advantage by using the
subconscious mind. Which in turn regulates the immune system and all other
energy systems of the body.
The
hypnotherapist, using a theta trance state, facilitates your subconscious to
access this energy to heal and balance both the body and the mind.
